This is a black bronze pistol sculpture with a knot on the barrel. This is a gift from Luxembourg to the United Nations in 1988 and stands in the garden of the United Nations headquarters. It means stopping wars and prohibiting killings, and it also expresses people’s yearning for peace.

The sculpture looks up to the sky, as if thinking or longing for something.
