In this blog, I will introduce how to properly install a marble gazebo, including the preparation work, steps, tools and tips required to help you happily complete this spectacular courtyard project.
1.Planning and Preparation
- Site Selection:Â Determine the installation location and make sure the ground is suitable for bearing. Of course, the location should have been determined when you purchased the gazebo, because the size of the gazebo you purchased also depends on the size of the site.
- Material and personnel preparation: cement, lime, forklift, scaffolding, and a series of necessary materials. 2-3 local workers (the number of workers required depends on the size of the pavilion).
- Check the Goods: After receiving the marble gazebo from YouFine, first check whether there is any damage to the goods. After confirming that there is no damage to the goods, you can take a look at the installation drawings we provide for you, which have more detailed installation instructions.
2.Foundation Construction
- Reinforce the Mud Ground:Â The marble gazebo needs to be installed on a level and solid ground, so the installation site needs to be hardened. Before hardening, harden the mud ground once (ramming and strengthening the foundation).
- Pouring Concrete: lay cement on the rammed ground, and the cement floor should be laid on a horizontal surface.
- Installation of Embedded Parts: If the gazebo needs additional reinforcement, or in order to make the foundation more solid, a steel skeleton can be added to the foundation.
- Note: The diameter of the ground needs to be about 20 cm larger than the diameter of the gazebo.
3.Gazebo Principal Installation
- Install the Base:Â Each floor of YouFine has its own number. Provide our installation drawings, lay a thin layer of cement on the cement floor, and then lay the floor one by one according to the number on the cement floor. (Note: After the floor is hardened, you need to use a level ruler to measure whether it is flat)
- Column Installation:Â Install the base. There are as many bases as there are columns in your gazebo. Then connect the seat plate to make it easier to connect the pavilion into a circle. Finally, use a forklift to lift the column and install it on the base. Next, install the column head (the column heads are connected with steel bars).
4.Top Structure Installation
- Install Beams: Install the beams on the columns, ensuring alignment and secure connection. YouFine’s beams have slots between them. After installation, they need to be reinforced with U-shaped steel bars to effectively withstand earthquakes and storms.
- Install Baffles:Â The baffles are used to cover the joints between beams, and are also fixed with steel bars.
- Gazebo Top Installation: Most of YouFine’s gazebos have an iron top design. After being installed on the ground, they need to be placed in place with a crane and then fixed with steel bars.
5.Quality Inspection and Acceptance
- Surface Cleaning:Â Remove dust and adhesive residues left during installation to ensure that the marble surface is clean and beautiful.
- Stability Test: Shake the pavilion with slight force to ensure that the structure is stable and not loose.
- Aesthetic Inspection: Check whether the joints are flat and the carvings are intact.
- Protective Treatment:Â If necessary, spray a protective agent to prevent the marble from moisture or contamination.
